This project exemplifies the modernization of a 1994 home, harnessing its panoramic city and mountain vistas to create an elevated living experience. Our design approach centered on expanding the kitchen into the former dining room while repurposing the formal sitting area into an integrated dining area, capitalizing on the soaring second-story ceiling height and framing breathtaking views. To address specific challenges, we created a separate bar area, elegantly showcasing Monogram drink refrigerators, stacked glass-front cabinets, and additional storage for special occasion glassware and dishware. A small drop zone near the back entrance caters to practical needs, providing a space for concealing everyday essentials.
Special features abound, adding both practicality and flair to the design. Hidden spice and oil storage to the right of the range optimizes kitchen organization, while 15” deep upper cabinets maximize storage space without sacrificing style. A hidden pullout to the left of the fridge discreetly houses cleaning essentials, ensuring easy access for quick clean-ups. Additionally, a hidden trash pullout with a paper towel holder near the sink enhances functionality while maintaining a streamlined appearance.
In essence, this project is a testament to the transformative power of thoughtful design, where functionality seamlessly merges with breathtaking views to create a space that is both inviting and visually striking.
